Terms of Use
These terms apply when you install or use Opener, an Android app that offers a curated library of opening lines and compliments. By using the app, you agree to what's below. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
What Opener is
Opener is a pocket library of hand-crafted opening lines, compliments, and icebreakers. It is intended for entertainment and inspiration. The lines are not scripts, promises, or professional advice — how, when, and whether to say any of them is entirely up to you.
Your license to use the app
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install and use Opener on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may quote and share individual lines in the ordinary course of using the app (including through the built-in share card). You may not:
- Copy, extract, or redistribute the corpus of lines in bulk.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app, except where the law expressly permits it.
- Rebrand, resell, or incorporate the app or its content into another product.
- Use the app to harass, demean, or intimidate any person.
Purchases
Opener is free to install. A single one-time in-app purchase ("Opener Pro") unlocks the full library and all registers. There is no subscription.
- Payment. Purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's terms. We do not receive or store your payment details.
- Entitlement. Purchase status is managed through RevenueCat and tied to the Google account that made the purchase. Use "Restore purchases" in the app to re-activate the unlock on a new install or device.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. If a purchase completes but the unlock does not activate, contact us and we will help resolve it.
- Price changes. The price of the unlock may change over time; you keep the entitlement for anything you have already purchased.
Availability
Opener is provided as-is. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We may release updates, and some updates may be required to keep the app working properly with Google Play or with third-party services.
Third-party services
Opener uses Google Play Billing and RevenueCat, which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. When you use those parts of the app, you are also bound by their terms. See our Privacy Policy for details on what these services receive.
Disclaimer
Opener is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any line will produce a particular reaction or outcome. Use of the app, and of any line within it, is at your own discretion and risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, goodwill, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
